Vertical Farming

Is vertical farming as beneficial as some scientists claim? This professor at the Utah State University Extension goes over some of the disadvantages and outcomes of vertical farming.

Cycloplane

A unique propeller structure is introduced in this video. Nicholas Rehm goes over his design and testing results for his version of a Cycloid Rotor Airplane.

Rapid Calculations

Ever wanted to impress your friends in the craziest way possible? Here is a math teacher conducting a simple and effective math "magic" trick.

Nematodes

After seeing the image on the left, you may wonder what these creatures are. From tropical to grasslands, these microscopic worms live in soils in all sorts of habitats. Learn more about them by clicking on the circular button to the right.

Nematode Extraction

If you read the article above, you may be interested in seeing these worms with your own eyes. If so, The University of Florida IFAS Extension published this step-by-step procedure on how to extract nematodes from the soil. If your soil sample had these creatures, you would be able to see them under the microscope at the end of the extraction process. Please note that you need a centrifuge for this extraction technique, which provides a clear image, but not all extraction methods require these large machines.
